Minneapolis

I first heard the term poly-crisis in a TED Talks talk by Sarah Wilson — the feeling that everything is unraveling at once. Now it has a physical address: Minneapolis.

Federal immigration raids by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement have turned ordinary neighborhoods into scenes of fear and protest, where the line between public safety and public trauma blurs. Poly-crisis is no longer an idea. It is a city learning, in real time, how fragile civic life can feel.
