Our Declaration of American Interdependence
When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for a people to smooth the differences that disconnect one with the other, to certify the equality of all its citizens, decency and respect require that they should declare the causes which impel them to redefine their path to pluralism and inclusivity.
We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all women and men are equal, that we are endowed by our Constitution with certain inalienable rights, among which are Life, Liberty, Freedom, and the eternal pursuit of Happiness. To secure these Rights, our Government was established in 1781 by The Constitution of the United States, thereafter Amended ten times in 1791 by The Bill of Rights. Additional Amendments were ratified in 1795, 1804, 1865, 1868, 1870, 1913 (2), 1919, 1920, 1933 (2), 1951, 1961, 1964, 1967, 1971 and 1992, a grand total of 27 Constitutional Amendments. Recognizing many unaddressed concepts in the original, a Constitutional Amendment is a change that has been approved and ratified to improve, correct or revise some error in the Constitution’s original content and intent.
To secure our Constitutional rights, the Government derives its just powers from the direct consent of the governed. Whenever any Form of our Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to peacefully organize to present suggestions for new Amendments. With the change of eras, to further improve our sacred Constitution we have done so repetitively with foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form that shall seem most likely to affect future Safety and Happiness for all. A prudence and a respect for our regulated Capitalist economic system dictates that our long-established Constitution should not be changed for light and transient causes. Accordingly, all experience has shown that mankind is more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. However, when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to provide new Guards for their future security.
Therefore, as responsible Citizens of the United States of America, we mutually pledge to each other Allegiance, Friendship, Trust with a Sacred Honor to stimulate only peaceful, positive, innovative and ethical reforms in benefit to our collective future.
